Treatment overview

Genius® RF combines the benefits of microneedling with intelligent radiofrequency to treat the deepest layers of the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin to tighten skin, improve skin texture, and soften wrinkles.

The Genius technology features sharper, sleeker, and smoother needles than other microneedling devices. It is also AI guided, enabling more accurate needle insertion into the skin and delivery of the exact amount of energy needed based on impedance. How Genius works

The advanced Genius® technology uses ultrafine needles to penetrate the skin’s surface and create controlled micro-wounds. This creates thermal coagulation zones (dermal wounds) at variable depths to precisely target the different thicknesses of facial and body skin for customised treatments. Radiofrequency heat follows these channels to stimulate the deepest layers of the skin precisely and consistently, without damaging surrounding tissue. Unlike other ablative treatments that compromise the outermost layers of the skin, Genius® RF leaves the epidermis intact for faster healing. This treatment is safe for all skin types.

The Treatment

During the treatment, you will feel slight pressure and heat on your skin. A topical anaesthetic is applied 90 minutes prior to the procedure to ensure patient comfort. Depending on the size and location of the area/s to be treated.

The treatment itself can take from fifteen minutes to an hour. Three treatment sessions are recommended, spaced several weeks apart for optimal results, although younger patients may opt for a single preventative treatment.

Recovery and results

You will notice some swelling and redness for a few days, and depending on the aggressiveness of the treatment, the redness may last somewhat longer. In most cases, healing occurs in three days to a week. Makeup may be applied after 48 hours.

Results are noticeable after the first treatment with optimal benefits after 12 weeks. Your skin will continue to improve for about six months after the final procedure.
