Ellanse

Ellanse

Ellanse is an injectable filler-like product manufactured by Sinclair Pharma, and is designed to address the skin ageing process.

As we age, the volume or plumpness of our facial features slowly diminishes, since the production of the important building-blocks of the skin reduces. In other words, the production of Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic Acid, slows down. As a result, the skin begins to sag and wrinkle, thus effecting the overall appearance of the face.

Ellanse injections stimulate the natural production of collagen. Importantly, rather than provide immediate short-term results, Ellanse is designed to engage with the body over time.

Many people confuse Ellanse with Hyaluronic Acid based Dermal Fillers. To clarify, Ellanse does not consist of Hyaluronic Acid which only provides a temporary filling effect.

Who is it for:

We use Ellanse for the following indications:

  • Repair and restore natural volume in the cheeks, chin, jawline, nose-to-mouth (nasolabial) line and mouth-to-chin (marionette) lines;
  • Plump defects such as chin indentations or acne scarring;
  • Restoring volume in the hands to reduce the skeletal appearance associated with hand ageing.

Suitable for:

During a consultation with our doctor you will discuss the areas of your concern and establish whether Ellanse is a suitable treatment for you. If you recently had other Dermal Filler treatments, please notify our doctor as this may require postponing your treatment with Ellanse.

About Ellanse

Ellanse is made entirely of non-animal sources and contains Polycaprolactone (PCL). PCL has been used in other medical procedures for several decades. Significantly, the PCL microspheres create a scaffold of sorts within the skin. As a result, the natural production of new collagen cells form around this scaffold.

Over time, the body will naturally and gradually disintegrate the PCL. However, the natural collagen cells remain. You can think of it like building a house. First, we put up the scaffolding for the bricklayers to build walls around. Then, the scaffolding comes down, but the walls of the house remain standing. The only difference is that once the PCL scaffolding comes down, your body keeps adding new bricks to the structure. As a result, you get a long-lasting result of up to four years.

Before and after the Ellanse treatment

During a consultation with our doctor you will discuss the areas of your concern and establish whether Ellanse is a suitable treatment for you. If you recently had other Dermal Filler treatments, please notify our doctor as this may require postponing your treatment with Ellanse.

A full medical history will be taken during your consultation to uncover any allergies, medication administration or other factors which might be unsuitable for any of the treatments that we offer.

If you are pregnant or currently breast feeding you will not be suitable for Ellanse treatment and will need await the period of weaning your child before we can embark on a treatment plan.

Much like other injectable treatments, Ellansé is an in-clinic treatment which is quickly performed and entails little to no discomfort.

The treatment usually takes less than 30 minutes, during which the product will be injected through several injection points, often in lines or crossed pattern shapes to help create the scaffold around which collagen will form.

Our doctor will ensure you are comfortable and informed throughout your treatment.

With all our treatments we offer a bespoke and tailored Regenerative Factor to enhance the results, prolong the effect of the initial treatment and achieve more natural-looking results.

This regenerative concept is the fundamental ethos of our clinic.

Adding a Regenerative Factor to aesthetic treatments is at the cutting-edge of aesthetic medicine and we are very proud to be able to offer this added value treatment to all our patients in order to optimise their aesthetic outcome.

Normally only one treatment is required but as with all procedures, the response and the duration of the effect depends on each patient and, if the physician deems it necessary, Endolift® can be repeated with no collateral effects.

Mr Ghanem is a Key Opinion Leader for Endolift® and an approved trainer for the procedure so you know you are in safe hands.

Ellanse treatment is completed within one treatment session. Longevity (duration of action) is controlled and tuned depending on the length of the PCL chain within the Ellansé. Variety of products range from 12, 24, 36 and 48 months respectively (Short :S, Medium : M, Long : L, Extended : E).

Following the Ellanse injection, an immediate increase and improvement in volume will be visible. Unlike Hyaluronic Acid based Dermal Fillers, as this is not a conventional filler product, the carrier gel will dissolve within a few months.

Over time, your body starts to produce its own natural collagen cells over this matrix of microspheres which results in longer-lasting volume within the skin tissues. You will notice continued improvements over time as your own natural healing process progresses.

Ellanse provides long-lasting results, making it a semi-permanent injectable product.

Much like Hyaluronic Acid based Dermal Fillers it is metabolised by the body over time, however, this reabsorption process takes longer (1-4 years depending on the specific product used).

Of course, the results are not just about how long the product itself lasts within the skin. The effect of stimulating the production of your own natural collagen will last long after the PCL has been metabolised.

Ellanse injections cost will depend on the area you are treating, and the amount of product or syringes required to achieve the desired result. You will discuss your bespoke price with our doctor, however prices start at £690.
