Our ultimate skin resurfacing and renewal protocol
The G-Renew protocol
The Ghanem Clinic’s G Renew is our most comprehensive and effective non-invasive facial rejuvenation treatment. It is an exclusive multi-modal combination of resurfacing treatments, designed to address the signs of aging, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and addressing pigmentation issues. You will look years younger with more youthful looking skin.

Er:YAG Fully Ablative and profractional laser
Ablative lasers work by removing the outer layers of damaged skin, stimulating collagen production, and revealing smoother, fresher looking skin with improved texture and tone. The procedure involves the precise application of a high-intensity laser beam to the skin’s surface, causing direct vaporisation (ablation) of tissue down to the reticular dermis layer of the skin and, at the same time, heats the underlying skin (dermis). Using the ProFractional functionality of the ablative laser, we have the ability to adjust the depth of ablation and coagulation independently. Unlike full field resurfacing which removes the entire surface area of a treatment site, ProFractional ablates narrow-diameter channels into the skin, covering a fraction of the total treatment area. This action initiates the body’s wound healing response while leaving the surrounding tissue intact for rapid healing.
Non-ablative fractional laser
Fractional resurfacing uses multiple-wavelength, high density fractional laser technology to produce thousands of tiny but deep microscopic zones of laser columns, invisible to the naked eye, that target flawed skin and leave surrounding skin untouched. This stimulates the repair process and growth of new, healthy skin cells to replace old, damaged cells. Skin turnover and collagen production is actually just the body’s natural healing process accelerated.
Pico Laser
We use a picosecond pulsed light laser to address skin pigmentation issues. This creates intense photothermal impacts in trillionths of a second. The high intensity flash of light is emitted at three wavelengths, specifically to target the chromophore. The laser energy is selectively absorbed by pigment particles, breaking them up to be eliminated by the body’s immune system. This technology minimises thermal damage, resulting in minimal discomfort
or downtime.
The Treatment Plan
The protocol will involve a first treatment session, with 8 post procedure treatment visits.
Your first and most invasive treatment session is the ablative laser. The complete resurfacing procedure usually lasts about 45 minutes. Patients report the laser feels like a prickly burning sensation. We can adjust settings as needed to keep discomfort minimal. Following treatment, the skin will be extremely red and swollen, resembling a moderate sunburn. This typically resolves within 24hours. A soothing barrier cream is applied to the raw skin surface to prevent infection and moisture loss while healing.
Your further treatments will be carried out at weekly intervals thereafter.
Post Treatment
Whilst less invasive than surgery, a significant recovery period can be expected after aggressive fully ablative facial treatment. After 9-10, days, patients can usually return to normal activities, though facial redness may persist for several weeks. Light makeup can conceal lingering pinkness or irritation. Gentle cleansers and moisturizers are recommended until the skin fully reacclimates. Ongoing sun protection remains extremely important to prevent dark spots and allow the new youthful skin to stabilise.
Results
This procedure can be truly transformative with improvements often described as shaving years off one’s appearance. Once healing is complete, results will be noticeable immediately. The benefits of stimulated collagen regeneration will result in progressive further improvements to your skin over the following months.
One major advantage of full ablative laser skin resurfacing is durability of results. Once healing is complete, the renewed outer skin layer remains intact for years.
